How To Effectively Use Facebook For Your Business

Small and big businesses use social media for boosting their visibility among potential customers. Social media platforms give you access to a very wide audience. 

A lot more businesses are using these platforms than ever before. They allow people to drive their businesses effectively. However, it is how well you know how to use social media that will determine how successful your business is going to be. Facebook For Business

With 2.93 billion monthly users, Meta/Facebook is the most popular platform when running a business. You need to learn how to conduct your business on Facebook. You will start with a Facebook profile. Your profile should not be used for your business. A Facebook profile is an account where you connect with your friends and family. Moreover, the Facebook Terms of Service prohibit the use of a personal profile to represent anything else other than the owner. Your business needs a Facebook page.

You can share information for your business. Share contacts and content, promote releases, post updates and engage with your customers.  

Your personal information will not be publicly visible to other people. Unless you invite people through your account, they won’t get your personal information. Furthermore, there can be several administrators for the business page. All these administrators will be able to log in to the admin page through their own personal pages.

How To Create a Facebook Page

Let’s create a page for your business. It is very easy to set up a page for your business. Just go here and follow the steps. 

On your phone, open the Facebook app > tap the menu button, (the three horizontal lines), at the top right of the screen. Then go to pages, (click the orange flag). If you already have other pages, you will be able to see them. If you don’t have any pages, there is a button at the top that says create a page. Follow the instructions.

The Cover Photo and Profile Picture

The cover photo is a very important part of your page. It’s the first thing that people see when they find your business on Facebook. Facebook has guidelines for cover photos. Make sure you are complying with the rules. 

Ensure you are using the right dimension for your cover photo. The photo should be 820 by 312 pixels for desktops and 640 by 360 pixels for phones. The cover photo is usually displayed at the top of the page. It is also displayed next to your Facebook page updates. 

Make sure the photo represents your brand very well. It is your customers’ first point of interaction with your brand. You can use it to drive traffic to your website, entice them to buy your products/service, download content, and like and share.

Also, add an easy-to-recognize profile photo. You can use your picture or your business’ logo. The size of the profile picture should be 170 by 170 pixels. Use Canva to create your photos.

The Call-To-Action Button

Facebook allows you to create a call-to-action button (CTA button). There are seven CTAs: Book Now, Contact Us, Use App, Play Game, Shop Now, Sign Up and Watch Video. Edit your CTA to link it to the page you want your visitors to go to.    

About Section

The About section is also important when it comes to communicating your business story. It allows you to introduce your customers to your business. You can use this space to let people know about the company’s story. A journey of how you came to be. Your accomplishments and achievements.

Talk about your products and services. This information will help your potential customer know right away that they are in the right place. 

Also, provide your contact information. People need to know how to contact you. The more information, the better. A physical address brings trust and credibility.

Create Custom Page Tabs

A custom Facebook tab can be created by visiting the Facebook Developer’s area. You can use a custom Facebook tab to; 

  • Promote subscriptions to your blog.
  • Promote registration for upcoming events.
  • Create a content library for digital products.
  • Feature testimonials and or case studies.

The Facebook business suit helps you manage your business across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Quest.  You may have more than one business. To manage all your business, you can use the Facebook Business Suite to make your work easier. Create different Facebook pages for each of your businesses.

You can find the Facebook Business Suite on the App Store or Apple Store. Install it on your phone. Make sure you install the Facebook Business Suite on the same phone where you have the Facebook App.

The Facebook Business suite can be used to manage all your business pages effectively. It displays all the business pages that you have on your Facebook profile. By tapping the profile picture, you will be able to see the list of all the business pages that you created on your Facebook account. 

It allows you to connect your Facebook business pages. These are pages that you manage across Facebook and Instagram. You can create and post content, (photos, stories, reels, etc.), for both Instagram and Facebook without switching accounts. There is also a calendar for scheduling. This is a great feature for professionals, and you can plan for months ahead. 

The business suite will help you answer comments and direct messages from Instagram and Facebook business pages. You can create automated responses, such as an instant reply, for when a new customer sends you a message. An away message, for when you are not using the app. A greeting, to ask what they would like to get from your business. 

You can add other people to your business page without giving them the password to your Facebook profile. They will be able to access the business page through their personal Facebook profiles. Remember to always give them a role that is less than the admin role. 

Another great way you can use the Facebook business suite is by creating Ads. You can boost posts or create ads on Facebook and Instagram. It allows you to track insights and trends. That will help you assess what’s working and what’s not working. This allows you to make adjustments where necessary.
